Can you advise the effective date of the UCBF document the above came from? This doesn't look quite right to me. Tones get sounded on F2 as well? Here is the way I have it listed in my records...
33.480 (csq) Alerting
46.340 (csq) F1 units - to - KEH912
46.460 (csq) F1 KEH912 - to - units
46.460 (csq) F2 unit-to-unit
46.300 (csq) F3 fireground
46.280 (csq) F4 "
46.320 (csq) F5 "
In other words, the system in Ulster is set up similair to the system in Orange.
From what I monitor here at my QTH does support some of what CFD is saying. While 33.480 is the "Main" dispatch and used for tone outs only, some departments in the northern Ulster Co. areas are using 46.460 as an additional tone out freq. From what I am monitoring, F-1 is a Semi-Duplex freq. with a Simplex mode used for unit to unit. So this is how I'm hearing it:
F-1 46.460 / 46.340 (Semi-Duplex mode) Response
Base Mobile
F-2 46.460 / 46.460 (Simplex Mobile Unit - Unit)
F-3 46.300 Fireground simplex
F-4 46.280 Fireground simplex
