Call was actived as an 23 investigation of a smoke condition. 3-1-31 was the chief with Engine 3-1-2, 3-1-6, and Rescue 3-1-8. Upon arrival 3-1-32 was advised of a confirmed smoke condition on the 3rd floor exp. 1 side and then requested for Tower 3-1-4 to respond. Upon further search 3-1-32 was advised of a confirmed fire in the attic area of the exp. 1 side. 3-1-32 then transmitted a sig 13/35. Engine 3-1-6 dropped a 3' supply line and then hooked up with Tower 3-1-4. Engine 3-1-2 put its highrise kit into service on the 3rd floor but was not needed. The plan was to use tower 3-1-4 as a standpipe instead of pulling the lines though the school. Fire was found to be in a blow unit and was contained and knocked down with a few cans. Minimal damage. BSFD had 4 engine, 2 ladders, 1 rescue, 3 fire police units. BSBRA, SCFRES FM, Islip town FC all on scene. 3-1-32 was OIC but 3-1-30 & 31 also on scene. all unit sig 5-28 approx 2000 hrs.
